Movement can heal the body and the mind.  Cocoon provides exactly that; a nurturing, safe space with a focus on whole body health to enable women to flourish, focusing on individual fitness and wellness goals and supporting you to achieve them with bespoke Pilates sessions, working at your own pace, with enjoyment and care and awareness of your own body.  

 

Whether you are used to exercising or not, as a health care practitioner for movement in Pilates my commitment is to guide women towards physical and emotional wellbeing through improved fitness, strength, flexibility and confidence in their bodies, confidence to move, how you feel and who you are.

Studio Focus

One to One

If you would prefer Pilates sessions tailored to you, or are new to Pilates and would feel more comfortable in a private setting rather than a class environment, Cocoon provides a space where you are supported to develop at your own pace.

Rehabilitation

As a healthcare practitioner for movement in Pilates my rehabilitation-focused Pilates sessions provide a safe, low-impact environment to help the body recover and realign through breath, body awareness and positive movement experiences, so that clients don’t just move better, they feel more confident, connected, stronger and resilient.

I know from experience that often recovering from an injury, surgery, or prolonged illness means that your body feels stiff, fragile and unbalanced.  Persistent pain can trigger control or ‘holding patterns’ that make us feel nervous to move.

 

I will guide you to rebuilding confidence in your movement, to listen to your body, trust what you feel and how you move and trust in yourself to restore your body’s natural function and rediscover the joy of moving.

 

Whether you are recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic pain, my tailored, 1-on-1 approach ensures you heal at your own pace and if you wish, in conjunction with your GP, physio or healthcare provider.

Bone Health

It is common for many women diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia to become afraid to move, or protective, moving cautiously and rigidly, exercising less.  The worst thing you can do for bone density!  Over-caution with your bones can be as problematic as neglect.

 

Moving is the best medicine for bone health, but how you move matters!

 

Buff Bones® has been a trailblazer in exercise for osteoporosis for more than a decade, guiding midlife women to move safely and confidently for better bone health and to appreciate their bodies in the process.  In 2025 I was delighted to become a certified Buff Bones® instructor, working in person with inspirational Buff Bones® founder Rebekah Rotstein.

 

Osteoporosis and osteopenia shouldn’t be about feeling fragile and wrapping yourself in cottonwool. Bone strength demands resistance and load, good body organisation, coordination and attention to alignment and technique.  

 

I can help you regain the confidence to trust your body again, move wisely and share exercises and simple strategies to empower you to move through your day with ease, strength, confidence and control.

Pre & Postnatal

My Prenatal 1:1 Pilates sessions focus on safe exercise tailored specifically for pregnant women.

I use principles and techniques to support physical wellbeing with movement through the various stages of pregnancy, reducing potential discomfort from pregnancy related conditions

and preparing the body for labour and beyond. 

 

Postnatal 1:1 Pilates sessions offer the personalised care and attention women need to support restoring their physical and mental well-being after childbirth. 

 

Each woman’s pregnancy and birthing experience is unique to her and the journey to recovering should be individual too, respectfully taking the time for self-awareness, for the body to find stability, posture and function for lasting strength and body confidence.

 

Whether you have experienced vaginal delivery or Caesarean section, are managing and healing from pelvic girdle pain (PGP), diastasis recti, or pelvic organ prolapse (POP),  I can help you to restore physical and emotional balance in a calm and nurturing environment.
